The vital feature of all Gretsch resonator guitars is the all-new Gretsch "Ampli-Sonic" diaphragm (resonator cone). Hand-spun in Eastern Europe from nearly 99-percent pure Aluminium, the Ampli-Sonic diaphragm yields an impressive quality and volume of tone.

The Gretsch G9202 Honey Dipper Special is part of the Gretsch Roots Collection and is a high quality yet affordable acoustic resonator guitar which will undoubtedly be a firm favourite with blues and traditional R & B players. It has a Bell Brass body with a Gretsch Ampli-Sonic Resonator Cone and decorative Poinsettia designed cover plate. The neck has been made using Mahogany and hosts a bound Rosewood fretboard with Aged Pearloid inlaid dot fret markers. The weathered hardware includes a biscuit bridge with Ebony tipped Maple and Grover Sta-tite machine heads with black tuning buttons whilst the headstock is a 1930's style Gretsch headstock with an Aged Pearloid face.
